Using The Elevation And Slope Tool

NOTE: These tools can only be used when in a directional view

Elevation by mouse click:

  1. Click on the Slope Elevation Tool icon
  2. Click the left mouse button at the intersection of an object and the ground
  3. The result will be the elevation above sea level

Slope by straight line:

  1. Click on the Slope Elevation Tool icon
  2. Press and hold the “CTRL” key
  3. While continuing to press the "CTRL" key, press and hold the left mouse button to start drawing
  4. Move the mouse in any direction to draw a line
  5. When the line is the desired length, release the mouse button and the “CTRL” button
  6. The result will be the slope between the two end points of the line. The linear distance and the elevation change will be displayed in the results window
